Noise Source Module

The Noise Generator Module produces random signals, which may be used either as audio or control data. The random signals produced include

The input ports and static parameters of this module may be used to change the character of the random output signal.

For a key to understanding the tables on this page, see the Module Types page.

Adding Input Ports

Adding input ports is not enabled for this module.

This parameter indicates whether the module should linearly interpolate between output samples, rather than hold each sample for the Change Rate period driven by input to Port 1.

Brownian Deviation

When this port is connected and Brown noise type is selected, this signal indicates the real-time maximum stride distance to next random output sample.

Not used when White noise type is selected.

Change Interval

When this port is connected, this signal indicates how long random values are held (or interpolated) before the next White or Brown random noise sample is generated.
